1. What is the minimum investment in SAS ?

  • The minimum initial investment/holding is one thousand (1,000) units.
    There are no minimum units for additional investment.

2. What is the minimum age for investing in SAS ?

  • All individual applicants shall not be less than 18 years of age
    on the date of application.

3. What is the requirement age for Jointholder`s Applicant ?

  • Applicants under 18 years of age may apply to be a Jointholder with
    another individual who is above 18 years of age. The Manager, however,
    is not bound to register more than two (2) persons as joint Unit Holders.

4. What are the requirements needed for a corporate investor to invest in SAS ?

a. any corporation wholly-owned by person or persons of Sabah origin;

b. any corporation wholly-owned by the Sabah State Government;

c. any wholly-owned subsidiaries of corporation wholly-owned by the
    Sabah State Government; or

d. any bumiputra corporation in Malaysia as the Manager may in its
    absolute discretion consider acceptable.

5. What are the modes of payment for SAS investment ?

Payment can be made in Cash (at the counter only), Bankers’ Draft or Postal Order to
be made payable to “SAHAM SABAH BERHAD” or can be banked-in to

6. Is there any cooling-off period on the investment I have made ?


Refer to the Rights of the Unit Holders to obtain a refund of his investment if he
so requests within the cooling-off period. The refund for every unit held by the
Unit Holder/investor pursuant to the exercise of his cooling-off right shall be the sum of:
i. the NAV per unit on the day the units were first purchased; and
ii. the sales charge per unit originally imposed on the day the units were purchased.


Only applicable for investor who is investing in the Fund for the first time. 
Shall be for 6 business days from the date of receipt of the application for the units
by the Manager.


7. How can I repurchase my investment units ?

Units can be repurchased by completing the Repurchase Form and returning it to the Manager.
The Manager shall repurchase the units at the buying price of the day upon the receipt
of such request.

8. I would like to update my address. What should I do ?

Investor may request for change of address by filling the Change of
Address Form or by giving written instruction.

9. I want to transfer my investment units. What are the procedures ?

a) Normal Transfer

Units can be transferred by completing the Transfer Form and returning it to the Manager.
In the case of Jointholders, the Manager will require that the Jointholder who must be at
least 18 years of age sign the application form together with the principal holder.

Deceased Unit Holders
  The transferee will be required to complete the Transfer Form and return it to the
Manager with legal documents which include certified copy of the Death Certificate
of the deceased, “Jadual Tiga” / Letter of Administration / Order or Judgement from
Syariah Court / Indemnity Bond, original copies of SAS certificate(s)/statement(s)
and the Fourth Schedule (declaration to the Trustees),  where applicable. Units will
be transferred automatically to Jointholder who must be at least 18 years, whereas
in the case of minor Jointholder, a beneficiary should be appointed as the principal
holder until the minor reaches 18 years of age.

Complaint should be made in writing with the following information :

a)  particulars of the complainant which include name , correspondence address ,
      contact number, mail address (if any) and other relevant information;

b)  circumstances of the non-compliance or improper conduct;

c)  parties alleged to be involved in the improper conduct; and

d)  other supporting documentary evidence (if any).
