Ms. Meherunnisa graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 1991 and has been a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 20 April 2001. With over 33 years of experience in the accounting and finance field, she brings extensive expertise in financial management, auditing, and corporate governance.

She began her career in 1992 as an Audit Assistant with Ernst & Young Public Accountants, Labuan, before joining Tetap Istimewa Sdn Bhd in 1993 in a similar capacity. In September 1994, she joined Saham Sabah Berhad (SSB) as the Fund Junior Officer, where she played a pivotal role in the initial setup, design, and system development of accounting functions and processes.

Since April 2003, Ms. Meherunnisa has taken on supervisory responsibilities in managing accounting and financial operations. In 2009, she was promoted to Finance Manager, a position she continues to hold, leading the Finance Department with oversight of finance functions, budgeting, and reporting. Her long tenure with SSB since its inception has provided her with deep institutional knowledge, operational experience, and a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial structure.

Ms. Meherunnisa was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Saham Sabah Berhad on 1 January 2026.
