Committees of the Board

The Investment Committee is responsible to formulate, implement and monitor the investment management policies of the Fund. The Committee will also ensure compliance with the requirements of  all regulatory laws. The Committee meets every month and at present, there are four (4) members in the Investment Committee.

The principle objective of the Committee is to assist the Board in discharging its fiduciary and statutory duties and responsibilities relating to the Company and the Fund’s accounting and reporting practices and the compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The functions of the Establishment and Administration Committee are to discuss and recommend to the Board of Directors on establisment matters which relate to personnel development, compensations and benefits, disciplinary issues and matters quantified in the Terms and Conditions of Service. The Committee has the authority to review and approve staff salary increments, promotions and creation of certain jobs. The Committee also attend administration matters which include reviewing policies and procedures of the organisation, and recommendation on the purchase and disposal of fixed assets. The Committee meets as and when the need arises.

The principle objective of the Nomination Committee is to assist the Board in discharging its responsibilities to evaluate of nominees/candidate prior to their appointments as a Director, Committee Member or the Chief Executive Officer of Saham Sabah Berhad, and thereafter to make recommendations to the Board. The Committee meets as and when required.

The principal objective of the Project Appraisal Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in discharging its responsibilities to evaluate the feasibility and viability of new projects proposals and thereafter to make recommendations to the Board.
